This is my contest entree for 
's contest abt her Psyraps.....I just love those things they are one of the neatest species I've come across on DA so far!
I could not scan this so I had to take crappy photos of it since it is 18x20 inches! it took a hell of a lot of time to finish over 14 hours in fact! I tried to depict something that might happen in a Psyrap's life in my entree you'll see Freek, Snags (my Psyrap) and an unknown looking dino that I made up....I named him Gigzar (pronounced GUY grr)
He is of a species that I made up along time ago when I was a kid and really into my dinos....they are call Barxios (pronounced Berry ox o's) they are a species of Spinosaurus that are blind and live under the water they hunt and kill with their massive middle finder claws and attract and fool fish to come close with thier tangly manes and colorful patterns. They ocassionally kill other dinos that come around their lakes or ponds. They rarely are on land except to fend off intuders or to eat....thats a little abt Gigzar....
But basically what had happend in my pic was that Freek and Snags along with some of the KrowKutta clan had been out hunting and came across a kill that was left by Gigzar and began to eat it...well Gigzar could sense all of the vibrations of the Psyraps on land through the water and came up for a look...and well Gigzar wants his kill back and Freek aint gonna give it up with out a fight!

I love the use of different media throughout the drawing, with the colored pencil in some parts, marker in others, even some watercolor paint I think! Pretty neat.
